DOWNHILL & ALPINE SKIING

Voted one of the top 10 snowboarding sites in the nation, Shawnee Peak, Maine's 3rd largest ski area, is just 7 minutes away door-to-door. With its new quad lift, half-pipe, and top-notch snowmaking system, Shawnee Peak has proven to be the most convenient and family-friendly ski mountain in Maine. Known for its night skiing and uncrowded slopes, Shawnee Peak is a great place for beginners and experts alike. 99% snowmaking assures you of great snow, and there are always exciting events and specials going on throughout the ski season.

Or, to sample some of the larger ski areas in New England, try Sunday River in Bethel (45 minutes away), Mt. Cranmore in North Conway, NH (35 minutes) or the many other slopes of the White Mountains of New Hampshire, all just a scenic hour away.

The nearby Bridgton Highlands Country Club has many acres of gently sloping hills and wooded trails, and they have given permission to our guests to use the land at the guest's own risk. Finally, the local snowmobile club grooms many miles of trails in the area, and skiers are welcome to use them as well. While the trails are built for beauty and not for speed, you should still use caution and listen for any snowmobiles approaching.

You can drive right up to the back door of the resort, where we have plenty of parking for your snow machine. Or, bring your trailer (plenty of parking for THAT, too!) and start out from here. New to the sport? Snowmobile rentals are available nearby!

"SNOWMOBILING FOR THE CIVILIZED"
Discover why the Bridgton Lakes Region is the perfect place for for those who want beauty, safety, and nearby civilization! Take a ride on the old narrow gauge railroad bed, explore the many small hills and lakes, cross a quaint covered bridge, or challenge yourself with a ride up Pleasant Mountain. With well-groomed ITS and local trails, plenty of businesses and activities trailside, and scenic routes that encourage leisurely, safe sledding, we can make your next snowmobiling excursion extra special for the entire family!
